What is Datacap Health Monitoring Solution?

Datacap health monitor is a solution to monitor various activities going on in a Datacap environment.

The goal is to monitor the Datacap components from a single place and have alerts generated when any discrepancy is observed.

The Datacap Health Monitoring Solution has 2 main components:

Datacap Health Monitoring Service: This is a windows service, which gets installed by default on every Datacap node during installation of Datacap.

ElasticSearch, and Kibana (ELK) stack: These are third-party software that needs to be installed separately at the client site.

Configuring Datacap Health Monitoring Solution

Configure Datacap Health Monitor reports, applications, and servers so they are displayed in the the Datacap Health Monitoring dashboards.

Interpreting Dashboards

This Dashboard shows the CPU/Memory and connections on all the Datacap nodes which include TMS, WTM and Rulerunner servers. It also shows a table of running servers with the respective components.

This dashboard will help the admin user keep an eye on the CPU/Memory consumption by various Datacap components like TMS, wTM and Rulerunner. The default interval at which data is exported from Datacap is 30 secs, you need to set the same refresh interval on the dashboard by clicking on the time filter -> Refresh Every -> 30 seconds. Click on ‘Start’ to start auto refresh and see real time stats from the Datacap nodes.
