Hey, it’s Teddy again!
Last week, I had the opportunity to attend IBM TechXchange 2025. It was my first time attending a conference, and for it to be one this big was spectacular! During my time at the conference, I got to understand what TechXchange is about fully. From sessions to workshops, to the sandbox, to the post-conference activities, it was all so captivating.
As I am part of the community team, I was spending a lot of time at the professional development booth in the sandbox. I had the pleasure of meeting so many people and introducing them to the amazing TechXchange community. One of my favourite parts was meeting other students who were also studying computer science or software engineering. It was a pleasure to share my experience and passion for programming and AI with them!
When I wasn’t at the booth, I had the chance to explore the sandbox and participate in some sessions and a workshop featuring Project Bob. At the workshop, I had the chance to use Project Bob within the demo environment. It was quite an impressive tool! (One that I will for sure be implementing into my workflow). It was amazing to see how it can solve cascading issues in a code base and how (with a little bit of re-prompting) it can fully implement new features!
The fun didn’t stop after the conference days. The opening night of the sandbox was electric: entering the massive conference space as music was playing, exploring all the booths, and feeling the energy of all the people was so amazing. On Tuesday, we got to go to Universal, and I rode my first-ever rollercoaster. It was surreal going to the park at night, seeing the neon lights and feeling the adrenaline from riding the roller coasters.
IBM TechXchange 2025 was an amazing experience: from connecting with professionals, exploring the sandbox, attending sessions, and attending post-conference events. I couldn’t have imagined it to be any better. I hope that I get the opportunity to attend TechXchange again in the future and to dive back into that experience.
See you next time! 🐻
