Base or Extended Samples?

IBM Cognos Analytics provides four categories of samples. Here are the instructions for installing the Extended samples. This is an extensive set of samples that requires the use of a database to host the sample Great Outdoors data.

There is a new set of Base samples for 11.0.6. They are stored in the Samples_For_Install.zip deployment file. All of these samples use Data Modules as their underlying data sources (no cubes, databases, or packages), and can be imported easily in one step. Here is a video that explains how to find and import this deployment file.

After you import the deployment, you will see the following new samples:

Team content > Samples > Dashboards


Team content > Samples > Stories
