New Release: power_aix - AIX Ansible Collection v2.1.0 is available now!

Hi everyone!

We’re happy to share that version 2.1.0 of the power_aix collection is now available!
This release brings several improvements, bug fixes, and a set of new modules that we think you’ll find useful.

Highlights of the Release:

  • New modules, playbooks added:

    • errpt – Enables reporting of logged system errors

    • nmon –  Allows to record local system statistics of a logical partition.

    • pagingspace - Manage paging space in a system.
    • vmstat Invokes vmstat utility with full flag support.
    • password_hash - To encrypt password with AIX encryption methods. Also, closes issue #548 (Github)
    • hdcrypt_auth - Manage authentication methods for logical volumes.
    • Demo playbooks - vmstat, pagingspace, nmon, errpt, hdcrypt_auth

  • Enhancements:

    • flrtvc.py: Fix for a race condition which reported emgr.txt not found. Fix for issue #579

    • flrtvc.py: Added support for proxy server
    • power_aix_bootstrap role: Added support for bootstraping using dnf local repo

    • snap: Added support for snapcore and snap split

    • emgr: Feature to accept list of files as list and not just as file, github issue #385

    • LKU: Option to specify project name along with default project is included. Issue #634

These additions were included after surveying AIX clients and getting direct input from the users on our GitHub repository. If you have any suggestions that you'd like us to cover, you can post them here or on our GitHub repository
