Managing Variability to Boost Reuse in Engineering Organizations: An Aviation Example with IBM Engineering 

The webinar introduces the topic of MBSE together with Product Line Engineering, also known as MB-PLE. The demonstration is inspired by and follows the publication “Two Variant modeling methods with MBPLE at Airbus” which received the INCOSE IS 2022 best paper award. The authors show how variability can be modeled in SysML using two different approaches and present both advantages and disadvantages. Starting from the method foundation, they provide insights on how to handle variant configurations of the same system. The DEMO uses as an example alternative configurations of an aircraft full-height stowage developed with IBM Rhapsody.
