On International Women's Day, we can advance gender equality and become part of the change.

Take some comfort in what you know. Rely on the people you know can offer you the best support: your family, your closest friends, your mentors and colleagues.

Today I want to say thank you to my parents. They relied on me. They gave me their example. I always found gender equality in my family. They encouraged us (my sister, my brother and me) to believe in our dreams and work hard to get them. They made us look ahead showing us that we could.

The education of our sons and daughters is a fundamental basis to advance gender equality. The first step is our family giving our children example.

I also want to say thank you to all my mentors and IT people I found in my professional journey. A lot of engineers, women and men, who were inspiring for me. To be honest, I didn't find any gender obstacles in my career. I was lucky. I know that it's not the general case so I will do my best to help to advance gender equality.

Now my challenge is my children. I must become part of the change. That will be my best contribution.
