AIX Ansible collection, version 1.5.0 availability

The 1.5.0 version of the AIX Ansible collection is now available on Ansible Galaxy. This version adds 3 new use cases, which were the highest voted in surveys with AIX Clients.

The new use cases are:

  • Automation of the AIX release migration process, using nimadm
  • Kernel tuning performance parameters automation.
  • Enhanced inventory collections for LPPs and LPAR information.

The collection can be found at - https://galaxy.ansible.com/ibm/power_aix

To date, there have been over 95,000 downloads of the collection.

The collection is also available in Ansible Automation Hub as Red Hat certified content.

Hi Henrik,

I would direct you to submit your suggestion on the AIX Ansible Galaxy site. You could also contribute by submitting a pull request with a suggested code enhancement that the team can review and consider.

Hi Carl,

Not sure if this is the suggestions box, but it would be nice to be able to disable quorum on VGs.
