Today we are excited to announce the IBM Accelerator Catalog-  a learning and ideation space for maximizing your investment in IBM analytics solutions. From custom visualizations to best practice guides, industry use cases and schematics to workforce planning models and even in-product interactive experiences, the Accelerator Catalog provides content that helps you see and experience how our products are used across your industry, department, and role so you can quickly and accurately get to the answers you need.

In April we released the latest 11.1.6 release of Cognos Analytics. This blog provides all detailed information on the new and enhanced capabilities in R6.

Our Global Sales leader and Offering Management leaders have shared a summary of the teams view on the latest Cognos Analytics and the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Analytics and BI Platforms report.

Our COVID-19 dashboard continues to be kept up to date with latest data compilation provided by multiple third party sources including the World Health Organization, state and local agencies as well as other public sources.

New Visualizations for Cognos Analytics in the Catalog! We have published a handful of new visualizations like Population, custom Waterfall, Gantt, Gas Gauge or even an advanced Sankey.

This document lists the vendor-supported client driver versions that were tested for each Cognos Analytics 11.1 release.

Tech Corner

Upgrading your data source from TM1 to Planning Analytics means you will have access to the latest features, including multiple hierarchies. If you are displaying TM1 dimensions alias values in your reports this tech note will help you understand the change and solution.

Review how you can create custom URLs for Cognos Analytics content objects, such as reports, dashboards, stories, and data modules.

The way invalid latitude and longitude data are handled in map visualization has changed with 11.1.6 release. Cognos Analytics does not display the data point on the map at all.

Ever wondered how to trace relational metadata import problems in Framework Manager?

On-Premises Corner

You may be required to have horizontal infrastructure scaling in Cognos Analytics. If you are running an IIS gateway, adding a dispatcher means you need to expand your IIS server farm for failover and dashboard request routing. This document walks you through the required modifications.

An enhancement request has been logged in order to schedule a refresh of an uploaded file. Visit the IBM Data and AI ideas portal to vote for this functionality to be included in future release. A workaround is proposed with Python Script in Jupyter Notebook to load an excel file from a website.

Uncover the truth hidden in your data with Cognos Analytics free trial. And if you want to get some hands-on experience with Planning Analytics, access the Planning Analytics free trial. These trials are now 90-days and still free, no download required.
