IBM Wazi Developer for Red Hat® CodeReady Workspaces (IBM Wazi Developer) is a productive development environment which fully integrates into any enterprise-wide standard DevOps pipeline and empowers developers by providing a consistent, familiar development experience for IBM z/OS®.  As a reminder, there are 3 components available and you can mix and match, depending on your needs.

Wazi Sandbox: develop and test z/OS application components in a personal, virtual, containerized OpenShift z/OS environment.
Wazi Code: edit, build, and debug in your choice of VS Code™, Eclipse®, or Red Hat CodeReady Workspaces IDEs.
Wazi Analyze: understand the impact of potential application changes by discovering the relationships between application components.

It's now easier than ever to get started!
  • In your Operator Hub, search for "IBM Wazi Developer Operators" and click on the tile to install either Wazi Developer for Workspaces or Wazi Sandbox. Once installed, you can explore  sample applications or create from scratch using the empty Wazi Developer for Workspaces stack.
Need to work offline? It's now possible! You can use Air gap installation to support the clusters in a restricted environment or systems not connected to the internet for both Wazi Developer for Workspaces and Wazi Sandbox

Quickly grow your skills on Z development? Introducing IBM Wazi Developer fundamentals course designed to boost your application development skills and acceleration time to productivity!  Available at no-cost, this self paced, 8 hour course offers a great introduction and shows the path to modernization through Wazi Developer. It includes demos and hands on exercises for Wazi Code, Wazi Sandbox and Wazi Analyze. After completing the course, you will earn a digital badge.

  • Need to know where your Application is running? Using an WebUI or the API, Z Discovery Library Adapter let's you discover the configuration data for the z/OS system that is supporting an CICS application.
