We are pleased to announce the general availability of IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/OS 11.0.22.0 (1Q24 quarterly update). This release contains OpenJDK 11.0.22+b07 (Jan'24 CPU Update). The binaries have been made available on our standard distribution sites as on Feb 20, 2024.

IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/OS 11.0.22.0 update contain the following in addition to the security fixes, bug fixes and other improvements:

11.0.22.0:

• The IBMJCECCA security provider is enhanced to support quantum-safe cryptography (QSC).
• Change in behavior of the -Djava.security.manager system property.
• JITServer support for Linux® on AArch64.
• In addition, this release also contains features from the latest release of the Eclipse OpenJ9 project, as listed in the Version 0.43 OpenJ9 user documentation.

Note: IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/OS 17.0.10.0 (1Q24) update is expected to be released around mid March 2024 (tentative).
