IBM Storage Defender Copy Data Management 2.2.27, bringing a host of new features and improvements designed to streamline operations, strengthen disaster recovery, and expand platform support.

  • Dell PowerMax SRDF metro 2-site configuration: IBM now supports replication snapshots and recovery for Dell PowerMax systems in metro 2-site setups. This provides improved disaster recovery with efficient data replication and management across sites.
  • Policy-based replication (PBR) and policy-based high availability (PBHA): Allows users to leverage the PBR (using IBM Storage FlashSystem 8.7.0 and later) and PBHA ((using IBM Storage FlashSystem 9.1.0 and later) configurations.
  • Revert option for restore workflows: Users can now revert SAP, Oracle, VMware, Linux/Windows file systems, and SQL databases to previous states using snapshots for faster recovery with direct restoration to original locations.
  • Oracle database restore enhancements: Automatically sets Oracle databases to read-only or noarchivelog mode post-restore and saves the manual effort.
  • Instant disk restore script generation: Generates RMAN and SQL scripts automatically after Oracle disk restore operations to simplify the recovery process by integrating the script creation with the restore workflow.
  • Expands platform support: Support SAP HANA 2.0 SPS 08 on RHEL 9.4, SAP HANA System Replication (HSR) on RHEL 8.10, standalone Oracle 21c on RHEL 9.4, and IBM Storage FlashSystem 8.7.3 and 9.1.0.
