I have been a proud and passionate learner and propagator of watsonx even though my role was automation CSM architect.
Generative AI and watsonx was intriguing subject to me so first I spent hundreds of hours to learn. I saw an immense possibility of using generative AI with automation and integration technically but when I started looking for the examples in business sector - I was hardly seeing anything beyond usage of GenAI in HR domain. Also I was appalled to see how clients are considering GenAI techies to be a those looking for clients to be merely a target to do a pilot and do a POC to prove a point or test something. That was surprising for me when I saw already so much of efforts have gone in to create not only generic LLMs but light-weight models for specific usage with less foot prints. I felt the elephant in the room was being ignored both in terms of technology and business utilization. Coming from a solid banking, finance and wealth management industry - in my experiments I felt as if I've discovered an expert advisor. I tried and tested for finance and insurance advice and with a little tuning I was able to achieve the results I intended. I wrote an article which could be interesting read and food for thought for client business leaders to start thinking using GenAI to give a structure to financial and insurance advice generation on LinkedIn
