The latest release of Cognos Analytics 11.06 (R6) continues to add enhancements to its key functional areas. In this release we focused on making it faster and easier to create dashboards and also provided more enhancements to the storytelling capabilities. I am really happy that we were able to significantly enhance the mapping capabilities by increasing the resolution of the postal code/area code level and expanding support for up to five levels of administrative boundaries.

In addition, our customer base will be happy to know that R6 includes support for OLAP packages in dashboards, and we have made improvements to the interactive viewer to support data lineage and business glossary.
