Dear IBM Champions,
We understand that changes in personal details, such as email addresses, occur due to various reasons. Whether you've recently switched jobs, changed your email service provider, or simply prefer a new address, it's crucial to update your details across all relevant platforms to ensure uninterrupted access and communication.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to update your email address and other basic details as an IBM Champion:
Update Your IBM ID:
If you still have access to your old email address, you can update your existing IBM ID, instead of creating a new one. The guidelines to update the IBM ID are given in this blog.
If you do not have the access to your old email address, you can opt for creating a new IBM ID. To create a new IBM ID, Go to IBM.com --> Click the person silhouette in the top right-hand corner of the page and choose Log in --> Click on "Create IBM ID".
Update Your Community Profile:
Your email address in the Community profile can be updated only through the support team. Please reach out to support@communitysite.ibm.com (with IBMChampions@ibm.com in CC) to update your email in the profile.
If you have more than one community profiles, request the support team to merge them.
Inform IBM Champions program team:
After completing the above steps, let us know about your email change, along with other changes like company/title/country (if any). This ensures that we have your updated contact information for any program-related communications.
We will also update your slack access with your new email address.
Note: If your new email address is a personal email address (eg gmail.com), it may affect our ability to get you registered for events or share other benefits with you. It can work temporarily (while you’re between companies), but please let us know when you have a corporate email that matches your company name/URL.
