Announcing Version 1.1 of GitHub Actions for IBM Power, IBM Z & LinuxONE

We are excited to announce the release of v1.1 of our GitHub Actions support for IBM Power (ppc64le), IBM Z, and LinuxONE platforms. This update strengthens CI/CD pipelines across IBM hardware with better stability, control, and observability. 
What’s new in v1.1
  • Quicker job turn-around for workflows: expanded resources
  • Support for Node.js 24 — build/test with the latest Node.js releases on IBM platforms
  • Improvements to GitHub App installation: Ability for organization's members to request app installation in their organizations.
  • Action runner image improvements via bug fixes 
  • Enhanced backend automation for better support
