Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 6.3 documentation refreshed in July 2020

Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 6.3 documentation is refreshed today, to include the following enhancements:

Enhancements in COBOL 6.3 with PTFs installed (For a complete list of Enterprise COBOL PTFs, check https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/604539):

PH26789: A new "CONVERTING" phrase is added to the JSON GENERATE and JSON PARSE statements so that you can generate and parse JSON boolean values. For details, see https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS6SG3_6.3.0/lr/ref/rlpsjsog.html and https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS6SG3_6.3.0/lr/ref/rlpsjsop.html.

Note that COBOL Runtime LE APAR PH26698 must also be applied on all systems where programs that make use of this new feature are linked or run.

PH27536: New suboptions LAXREDEF | STRICTREDEF are added to the NUMCHECK(ZON) option to control whether the compiler will check and issue warning messages for redefined items. For details, see https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS6SG3_6.3.0/pg/ui/up1051.html.

Documentation fixes in COBOL 6.3:

- In Programming Guide:

Added a whole new section to describe using UTF-8 data (Unicode) in COBOL (parallel to the "Using national data (Unicode) in COBOL" chapter): https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS6SG3_6.3.0/pg/tasks/tpstr34.html and its sub-topics
