Since the EC12, IBM has allowed storage class memory (SCM) to be used with IBM MQ shared queues. Details on that are here. A few days ago IBM published a statement of direction saying that future versions of IBM Z hardware will remove support for SCM with coupling facilities, which means that using it with MQ will no longer be possible.
