Message to Community - Site Updates

By Marius Ciortea posted Tue December 15, 2020 10:55 AM

To Our Community,

I want to start off by saying thank you. During this unprecedented and troubling year, this Community has continued to grow into an oasis for opportunities for growth, connection, and learning. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time on this site to embody what Community is all about: standing up, reaching out, and helping out.
For us on the IBM Community team, Community also means listening to you, our community, and finding ways to improve. To that end, I'm excited to announce that this month, we'll be launching a number of updates to our site that we hope you will agree will vastly improve the experience of connecting and learning within the IBM Community.
Today, I want to focus on one area of updates in particular - discussions. In our 2020 annual survey, many of you provided the feedback that you wanted to be able to get to discussion posts you care about quicker and with ease, and we listened to you. In our latest update, you'll be able to see the latest discussions across all Topic Groups within a community, like Middleware, from the community homepage, just as you can right now for the latest upcoming events.

We believe this first step will make it easier to get to the discussions you care about with less time and effort, and we have much more planned to update how you can interact with discussions in 2021. All of these updates are born out of the priceless feedback we get from you all in our annual surveys, and we look forward to hearing from you again in our 2021 survey. We encourage you to participate as we truly see you all as fellow builders of this Community. In the meantime, if you have any feedback you're burning to share, please provide it to us
in this discussion post, or feel free to share anything else you'd love to see updated in 2021. I can't wait to show you more of what's coming in the approaching months and to continue to learn and build with you all.

Sincerely,

Marius Ciortea
