IBM Site ID
To download webMethods products, or perform certain other actions in this blog post, you will need your IBM webMethods site ID. The person at your company who received your IBM paperwork (that is, the "primary contact" who received the IBM Quote, Proof of Entitlement, or Invoice) has the Site ID and can provide it. The primary contact can also give you access to the site from which to download your webMethods products. If you have problems obtaining the IBM site ID from the primary contact, contact your IBM Sales Representative.

Obtain 10.15 or Earlier Containers
To download containers for webMethods 10.15, go to https://containers.webmethods.io/products. Some products also offer containers for releases prior to 10.15. If you need a container that is not offered, you can build it yourself using instructions in the product documentation for the release you want.
Download Installer and Update Manager, or Command Central for 10.15 or Earlier
Until June 30, 2025, you can download the webMethods Installer and webMethods Update Manager, or webMethods Command Central, for webMethods 10.15 or earlier from the Software AG Empower Portal. After April 30, 2025, you will be able to download the IBM webMethods Installer and IBM webMethods Update Manager for webMethods products 10.15 through 10.5 from IBM Fix Central as described below. Therefore during the month of June 2025 you will be able to download 10.15 through 10.5 from either location.
- Whitelist and allow HTTPS traffic to and from sdc.webmethods.io and cdn.sdc.webmethods.io
- Create a new directory on your target system.
- Go to IBM Support: Fix Central, click Find product. In the Product selector drop down, type webMethods Installer.
- In the Installed Version drop down, select the product release you are going to install (for example, 10.15).
- In the Platform drop down, select the operating system onto which you want to install (for example, MAC OS x64).
- Click Continue. When the Select fixes page displays, click Continue. You will see options in the format IBM_webMethods_webMethods_Installer_<operating system>.
- Select the checkbox next to the webMethods Installer you want to download and click Continue.
- Repeat these steps for webMethods Update Manager.
- After you are sure the downloaded webMethods Installer and webMethods Update Manager are working, delete any webMethods Installer or webMethods Update Manager you previously downloaded from Software AG Empower Portal.
- For instructions on using webMethods Installer and webMethods Update Manager, see the webMethods documentation for your product release.
After April 1, 2025, if you need to install or obtain fixes for product release 10.3 or earlier, contact IBM support.
Please do not try to use Software AG Fix Explorer to install fixes. If you can't find certain fixes on Update Manager (for example, IBM EntireX Mainframe fixes), search for those fixes in IBM Support: Fix Central directly.
Continue Using Your Existing Command Central 10.15 Installation
To continue using your existing installation of Command Central 10.15 to install products and fixes, update your Command Central with the latest bootstrapper and configure an IBM account to connect to the new location of the product and fix master repositories on the IBM webMethods Software Download Center. For more information, see Software AG Command Central Help
Keep Your 10.15 or Earlier Products Running (License Keys and Metering)
The instructions in this section will enable your webMethods 10.15 or earlier on premises products to continue working for as long as you maintain an active entitlement with IBM.
- Determine whether your contract is core-based or transaction-based. If you aren't sure, review your contract or contact your IBM Sales Representative for help.
- Look in the product documentation for your webMethods 10.15 or earlier on premises products to find all the license key directories in your existing webMethods installation. If you stored license keys in any custom directories, find those directories as well.
- Copy your license keys and move the copies to a directory outside your existing webMethods installation.
- Open the keys with a text editor and find the lines that start with <ExpirationDate>. If you do not see expiration dates, you have a perpetual license and need take no further action. If you do see expiration dates, follow the steps below before the license key expiration dates.
Note: If you have Integration Server, and you have a license key for the WxConfig package, and you are following instructions below to apply generic license keys, ask your IBM Sales Representative for a new WxConfig license key. Then copy the new WxConfig license key over the existing one before you restart your products. (This is not necessary for transaction-based (metered) if you are applying the fixes.)
Type of contract |
webMethods Products |
Steps to follow |
Core-based
|
All products, 10.15 or earlier
|
- Go to IBM Support: Fix Central and click Find product. In the Product selector dropdown, type webMethods License Keys.
- Download the generic license keys for your products, and follow the instructions in the accompanying readme to apply the keys. The generic license keys disable metering.
- Restart your products.
|
Transaction-based (not metered)
|
Integration Server, Trading Networks, API Gateway, or ActiveTransfer 10.1 or earlier
All other products 10.15 or earlier
|
- Go to IBM Support: Fix Central and click Find product. In the Product selector dropdown, type webMethods License Keys.
- Download the generic license keys for your products, and follow the instructions in the accompanying readme to apply the keys. The generic license keys disable metering.
- Restart your products.
|
Transaction-based (metered)
|
Integration Server, Trading Networks, API Gateway, and/or ActiveTransfer 10.3 through 10.15
|
- Download 10.15 or earlier IBM webMethods Update Manager as described elsewhere in this blog post.
- Apply fixes to each product as described below. The fixes cause the license key expiration dates to be ignored, but metering to continue.
Integration Server
Ideally, install these core fixes after they become available:
- IS_10.15_Core_Fix19
- IS_10.11_Core_Fix19
- IS_10.7_Core_Fix27
- IS_10.5_Core_Fix31
- IS_10.3_Core_Fix32
If you cannot install the core fixes, install the lightweight hotfixes listed below. The hotfixes only affect the licensing component, and do not change any core Integration Server functionality. Use the Support Patch feature of Update Manager to install the relevant hotfix using the key listed below. See the Update Manager documentation for instructions on how to install a hotfix.
- Integration Server 10.15 with Core Fix 6 and above, use support patch key: 1_PIE-96691_11
- Integration Server 10.15 with Core Fix 5 and below, use support patch key: 1_PIE_96691_12
- Integration Server 10.11 with Core Fix 12 and above, use support patch key: 1_PIE-96691_13
- Integration Server 10.11 with Core Fix 11 and below, use support patch key: 1_PIE-97670_5
- Integration Server 10.7 with Core Fix 16 and above, use support patch key: 1_PIE-97670_1
- Integration Server 10.7 with Core Fix 15 and below, use support patch key: 1_PIE-97670_2
- Integration Server 10.5 with any Core Fix level, use support patch key: 1_PIE-97670_3
- Integration Server 10.3 with any Core Fix level, use support patch key: 1_PIE-97670_4
API Microgateway
Use Update Manager to install the API Microgateway fix for your version:
ActiveTransfer
Use Update Manager to install the relevant ActiveTransfer fix for your version:
ActiveTransfer Agent
- MAG_10.15_Fix1
- MAG_10.11_Fix1
- MAG_10.7_Fix1
ActiveTransfer Server:
- MAT_10.15_Server_Fix13
- MAT_10.11_Server_Fix24
- MAT_10.7_Server_Fix27
If the license key expiration dates are so soon that you do not have time to apply fixes, follow these steps:
- Go to IBM Support: Fix Central and click Find product. In the Product selector dropdown, type webMethods License Keys.
- Download the generic license keys for your products, and follow the instructions in the accompanying readme to apply the keys. The generic license keys disable metering.
- As soon as possible, apply the fixes listed above.
- Move the license key copies you made earlier back into the license key directories. The license key copies re-enable metering.
- Restart your products.

Details for IBM webMethods 11.1
Documentation for 11.1
Download Installer and Update Manager, or Command Central for 11.1
After mid-January 2025, IBM will begin moving contacts and entitlements for existing Software AG customers and partners to IBM systems. After your contacts and entitlements have been moved, you will be able to download IBM webMethods Installer and IBM webMethods Update Manager, or IBM webMethods Command Central so that you will be able to install the IBM webMethods 11.1 products when they become available.
- Whitelist and allow HTTPS traffic to and from sdc.webmethods.io and cdn.sdc.webmethods.io
- See the IBM webMethods documentation for instructions on downloading and using these tools.
If you are not able to take one or more of the actions described above, your contacts and entitlements have not yet been moved. Please try again later. If you are in a hurry, open a case with IBM Support at https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s/
Add Metering to 11.1 Installations
Starting with IBM webMethods 11.1, there are no longer product license keys.
Integration Server/Microservices Runtime, Trading Networks, API Gateway, and ActiveTransfer are metered products. For transaction-based customers, metering is required by your contract. If you do not enable metering, the products will work, but you will see warnings in the product GUIs and logs.
By default, metering is not enabled on new IBM webMethods 11.1 on-prem installations. To enable metering, first use Update Manager to install 11.1 fixes that include metering support for the usage-based products. The fixes are:
- Metering infrastructure: MTA_11.1_Fix2 metering (all installations)
- API Gateway: YAI_11.1_YAIC_Fix3
- Integration Server/Microservices Runtime: IS_11.1_Core_Fix3
- Trading Networks: TNS_11.1_Fix1
- ActiveTransfer Server: MAT_11.1_Server_Fix1
Then generate metering configurations, place them in your installations, and restart your products as explained here https://ibm.biz/metering-documentation
The metered products will start reporting transactions.
If your subscription includes both on prem and SaaS, you will automatically see dashboards for your metering data in your SaaS environments.
If your subscription is on prem only, ask your CSM to help you sign up for a self-hosted SaaS tenant that will show your metering data in a dashboard. If you are upgrading to 11.1 and you already have a dashboard you have been using for 10.x products, make the 11.1 metering data appear on the dashboard by opening the dropdown under Contract ID at the top left of the dashboard and then selecting your on prem Site ID.
If you are not able to take one or more of the actions described above, your contacts and entitlements have not yet been moved. Please try again later. If you are in a hurry, open a case with IBM Support at https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s/
Upgrade/Migrate Products to 11.1
After mid-January 2025, IBM will begin moving contacts and entitlements for existing Software AG customers and partners to IBM systems.
- Read the Upgrading IBM webMethods Products 11.1 guide to plan your upgrade.
- After your contacts and entitlements have been moved, follow the instructions in the guide to download the tools you need to perform the upgrade/migration (for example, IBM webMethods Installer and IBM webMethods Update Manager).
If you are not able to take one or more of the actions described above, your contacts and entitlements have not yet been moved. Please try again later. If you are in a hurry, open a case with IBM Support at https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s/
Obtain 11.1 Containers
To obtain containers for the 11.1 release of IBM webMethods API Gateway, Microgateway, Developer Portal, API Control Plane, Integration Server, Microservices Runtime, Terracotta, and BigMemory Max, open a case with IBM Support at https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s/
