Come for answers. Stay for best practices. All we’re missing is you.
Current times have led to business disruptions and has spawned the need for new ways to work. The mobile phone user base is very large but only some organizations use mobile technology for ECM. As part of Digital Business Automation IBM provides Automation Mobile Capture which is a mobile app that runs on the device. This app has an intelligent document capture using AI and real-time data validation which helps to reduce errors. Using the app a user can send documents and photos securely to the server.
To show the capabilities of this feature we will walk through a demo that uses a Loan Application use case. In this use case, an end-user submits a loan application from a mobile phone using the camera of the phone and gets the status of the loan application on the device. A machine learning AI capability assists the user to take the correct photo and the data captured can be validated before the file is uploaded to the Filenet server. Once the data is uploaded a workflow process is triggered where an agent can validate the loan application and proceed with other steps like underwriting and other business processes required to process a loan application.
Value proposition
As seen from the demo a mobile application with intelligent document processing helps to provide an easy solution for end-users to upload documents and verify data in real-time thereby reducing any delays due to wrong information. The process triggers a workflow which speeds up processing time and also provides the ability for end-users to get status accurately in the app.
The IBM Automation Mobile Capture app is available today in Apple or Google store and should be used with FileNet or DataCap licenses.
