The Content Services GraphQL API is a rich, modern API that is ideal for web and mobile application development because it is easy to use and optimized for rapidly changing data at scale. GraphQL, originally created by Facebook, is an open-source data query and manipulation language for APIs. It is extremely efficient with great performance due to the fact that it only retrieves and updates the information you need. With the FileNet GraphQL API, you can retrieve and update information about your content and do things like retrieve and update annotations, work with custom objects, and promote or demote versions of content. The API was previously only available as a container, but it now can be used for WebSphere Application Server deployments too Check out the video below to see how you can use webhooks to integrate FileNet and Slack:

With the Content Services GraphQL API now available for both container and WebSphere Application Server deployments, all FileNet customers can take advantage of our Salesforce Connector. Salesforce is a leading CRM platform that can be used to execute sales, provide service and support, and more for a variety of industries including financial services, retail, government, and education.  The Salesforce Connector to FileNet allows Salesforce users to easily upload content into Salesforce while it is seamlessly stored in FileNet.  The Connector can automatically pull metadata from Salesforce and save it with the document, or be configured to prompt the user to add important metadata so that all content can be easily searched and managed in FileNet. Salesforce users can continue doing all of their work within Salesforce without having to switch between applications, while making critical content available across the enterprise, no matter what application an employee is using. This helps eliminate a content silo while allowing users to remain productive in their tool of choice. In the case of Salesforce, this results in faster sales cycles and improved customer experiences. Interested in trying it out? Business Automation Insights allows you to visualize data and insights across the Cloud Pak for Business Automation. For FileNet, this means that you can visualize data like documents added or updated. You can use the dashboard to intuitively filter by document properties or drill down into a specific property or timeframe. Take advantage of Business Automation Insights when FileNet is containerized and now, when installed in WebSphere Application Server deployments.
