Securing and protecting critical personal financial data with IBM Z

In today’s fast-paced business world, staying ahead requires continuous innovation, improved efficiency, and the protection of crucial data. In the payroll world (which is where I work), there is nothing more sacrosanct than ensuring the security of employee and company pay data and making sure that an employee’s pay reaches their bank, and only their bank, securely.

The IBM z17 is a robust platform that empowers businesses to leverage AI, optimize operations, and safeguard their most important assets. I was really interested to read the Celent paper on “Mitigating Fraud in The AI Age”, which was published in March this year. If you stop to think for a minute, it seems obvious that with their processing power, mainframes are ideally placed to handle the huge amounts of secure data that banks hold and to do so quickly and efficiently.  So, it was not really surprising that Celent identified that “70% of banking, cards, and payments transactions globally run on IBM Z mainframes”.

To hear that IBM has very much bought into and have announced the second generation of AI accelerators says to me that they hold their responsibility to provide a secure base for the world’s banking fraternity at their heart.

Zellis is proud to be part of the IBM Z Ecosystem, and we look forward to supporting our mutual customers to leverage the power of IBM z17!
