IBM Community User Group Recap 2022 – A Year in Review, Achievements, & Thank you

As we close out 2022 and prepare for 2023, in my role as IBM Community User Group Program Manager, I want to extend a huge thank you to all of the User Group Leaders in the IBM Community. In 2022 we saw great momentum with a number of user groups returning to in person events – hosting successful 1-2 day in person and hybrid events globally. We would like to celebrate all of their accomplishments and hard work this year as we take a look back at some of the IBM Community user group meetings that occurred throughout the year. Please see the event recaps below for a few examples (there are many more!):

IBM Community User Group Meeting Recaps:
  1. Maximo UK & Ireland User Group Meeting in Belfast (25-26, May 2022)
  2. New England ECM User Group Meeting (17 August, 2022)
  3. Midwest User Group (24-25 August, 2022)
  4. NY/NJ Hybrid Cloud IBM MQ & Integration User Group (2 November, 2022)
  5. Maximo UK & Ireland User Group Meeting at the IBM London Innovation Studio (30 Nov- 1 Dec, 2022)

It was an honor to work amongst all of our passionate IBM Community User Group Leaders (IBM customers, IBMers, and IBM business partners) who actively work with IBM Solutions and are committed to bringing together IBM users from around the world to connect and share experiences & knowledge. I look forward to continuing to work closely together as we look to the new year ahead.

As a look back, here are all of the User Group Leaders and Liaisons Meetings that we held in 2022. These meetings are for and by user group leaders and it's a great opportunity to share experiences with hosting in virtual, in-person, and hybrid meetings, best practices, and lessons learned. We encourage all of our user group leaders (and those that are interested in starting user groups) to join these calls in the new year to hear IBM Community updates from community leadership, best practices, and lessons learned from other user group leaders on what's worked well for their groups as well as plans for 2023.
