z/TPF support for glibc 2.37 (APARs PJ46900, PJ48398, and PJ48239) modernizes z/TPF’s C application support by providing compatibility with GNU C library (glibc) version 2.37.
Support is split across three corequisite APAR packages:
- PJ46900 - z/TPF support for glibc 2.37
- PJ48398 - Updates to the open source Curl package for z/TPF support for glibc 2.37
- PJ48399 - Updates to the open source Unix package for z/TPF support for glibc 2.37
Updates to both our GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) and Dignus Systems/C and Systems/C++ (DCC) compilers are required to apply this APAR:
- The new tpf-17r1-8 release of the GCC 7 cross compiler is available to download on our z/TPF GCC support web page.
- For customers that are using Dignus, a minimum of DCC 2.25.57 is required. Contact Dignus directly to obtain the latest compiler updates.
For more information about z/TPF support for glibc 2.37, see the APEDIT for APARs PJ46900, PJ48398, and PJ48399.
