Java 8 support has been withdrawn

The IBM 64-bit Runtime Environment for z/TPF, Java Technology Edition 8 was previously announced as deprecated and would no longer be supported as of December 2023. Discontinue Java 8 support (APAR PJ47239) officially removes the Java 8 Runtime Environment and the ability to use Java 8 when compiling all product and application code for the z/TPF system.

You must install and migrate to IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition 11 for z/TPF if you have not already done so at this time. z/TPF support for Java 11 was first made available with PJ46301 in July 2022.
