Updates to the IBM Java 8 runtime for z/TPF are now available (PJ46780)

There are updates made to the IBM® 64-bit Runtime Environment for z/TPF, Java™ Technology Edition, Version 8 to address various product security vulnerabilities.  For more information, see the security bulletin.

There are additional z/TPF updates provided with APAR PJ46780. Notably, JRE configuration files are now shipped under base/rt4j instead of base/oco/load/rt4j. This direction better aligns with TPF's intended use of object code only (OCO) and giving users the ability to override these configuration files through the use of local_mod copies.

Download and install the PJ46780_ibm-java-jre-8.0-7.10 package from the IBM 64-bit Runtime Environment for z/TPF, Java Technology Edition, Version 8 download page. This update, and associated changes made for APAR PJ46780, replaces the runtime environment provided with APAR PJ46623.
