In 2022, we introduced the Health Metrics Scorecard in IBM Z Performance and Capacity Analytics to empower customers to proactively monitor their z/OS systems and detect issues before they escalate. Since then, we’ve broadened its scope to provide insights into other key components of your z/OS environment, including new MQ support. APAR PH62191 extends the Health Metrics Scorecard with new Db2 rules. These additions enable you to track key performance metrics, such as write I/O efficiency, pages written, and buffer updates. Additionally, the rules can pinpoint timeouts, deadlocks, and breaches of other critical thresholds. This enhanced visibility empowers you to fully understand your system’s activity and make swift, informed decisions regarding its health.
