Updates to the IBM Semeru Runtime for z/TPF are now available (PJ48152)

There are updates made to the IBM® Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/TPF, 11 to address various product security vulnerabilities. For more information, see the Security Bulletin.

There are also associated updates provided with z/TPF APAR PJ48152.  The following z/TPF specific updates are included:

  • Program base/cp/cpsl.cpy is updated for IBM Semeru dump processing. With this change, only unformatted heap is dumped for 004003 and 004004 system errors.
  • Program base/rt/cjm1.c is updated to resolve a timing scenario where system errors 000572 and 000573 can occur during cycle down.
  • The base/oco/load/DJHC.so Health Center shared object was updated to prevent an edge case where an intense volume of JVM metrics collected for a long period of time can lead to a JVM
    OOM condition.

Download and install the PJ48152_ibm-semeru-certified-jre-11.0.26.0 package from the z/TPF support for IBM Semeru Runtimes and IBM Java SDK download page. This update, as well as the associated changes made for APAR PJ48152, replaces the IBM Semeru runtime environment provided with APAR PJ48093.
