There are a number of features in IBM Planning Analytics Workspace that help you to work in large dimensions in the set editor.
For example, you can...
Expand deep dimensions down to their lowest levels using
Expand to descendants.
Drill down on members either from the right-click menu, or by double-clicking a member.
Use
Keep
to isolate one or more members, and create a selection that you can search in.
Show all ancestors of a particular member by selecting
Show all ancestors
.

The measurement participants may be without problems dragged from ‘Available participants’ to ‘Current Set’ and the editor could use the default insert set. If there are more than one participants in ‘Current set’ then it's far viable to choose the location of the brand new member through dragging it down the panel and pushing it at the desired position.
