We are on an accelerated path to delivering enhancements based on valuable feedback provided by clients who have adopted ZVTP into their test automation solution.
Here are the enhancements delivered as part of ZVTP 1.2 continuous delivery update. For more details on any of these enhancements please visit our knowledge center

Simplification of program-to-program call interception
We are absolutely focused on not just building a testing solution but a solution that integrates into your DevOps pipeline to enable automated and continuous testing. In previous releases, intercepting program to program calls involved some manual effort to update configuration files and we received feedback on the need to simplify and automate this process.  With this release, the contents of the configuration file is now stored with the recording and will be automatically used during replay, but still providing a technique to override, which further simplifies the pipeline integration process.

Introducing support for
IMS-MQ Support
Support for IMS/TM transactions using MQ has been added to allow developers to record IMS transactions that use either MQ directly or through the IMS-MQ bridge into a playback file. There is no support for Fast Path nor ODBA in this release.

New CICS BZUX transaction to allow limits on recording
Can you give us a way to limit the number of transactions during recording? A feedback from clients translated into additional product enhancement in this CD update. Developers are now be able to record a wide range of CICS transactions, by automatically limiting the number of each transaction recordings.

Support for DSNALI (CAF) calls
Added support for the recording and playback of Db2 CAF programs is provided.

Un-initialized memory detection
In some situations VTP reported mismatches though there were no actual defects. This was due to uninitialized storage. ZVTP 1.2 introduces features which will detect and report any uninitialized storage.

F
inally, if you were wondering about the different name I used in my blog: yes, we are making a small change to the name of our product. IBM Wazi Virtual Test Platform will from now on be called IBM Z Virtual Test Platform
