As of IBM App Connect Operator 12.16.0, App Connect Dashboard Operand version 13.0.5.0-r1 or later, the App Connect Dashboard now supports real-time updates for your Integration Runtimes. Instead of manually refreshing the page to see the latest state, the App Connect Dashboard stays in-sync automatically through a live connection and Integration Runtime updates are instantly reflected on your screen.

Operations such as creating, updating, stopping or deleting Integration Runtimes no longer trigger a full page refresh. Instead, the App Connect Dashboard displays the updated changes to the affected Integration Runtime as they get applied, making the experience smoother and faster. This also applies to stopping and starting applications or REST APIs, and updating BAR files. This is especially valuable for App Connect Dashboards that manage a large number of Integration Runtimes, as only incremental updates are sent rather than reloading the entire state.

This improvement also shines when multiple users are connected to the same App Connect Dashboard across different sessions. Activity is shared in real-time, so you’ll always see the most up-to-date information and won’t risk working with outdated data.

Some other recent Dashboard improvements

We continue to iterate on the Dashboard to offer improvements over time. Some recent additions include adding the ability to download a BAR file from the BAR Files page, updates to BAR files being reflected in the Integration Runtime status, and stopping and starting Integration Runtimes directly in the Dashboard.
