I am happy to announce that IMS Explorer for Web is now generally available!
IMS Explorer for Web is included in the IMS Enterprise Suite for z/OS 3.4.0 (5655-TDA) and is available from IBM Shopz.
IMS Explorer for Web is a server-based solution that runs in a browser to simplify common IMS development workflows. Designed for application developers and database administrators, IMS Explorer for Web provides a modern server-based alternative to versions of IMS Explorer for Development built for Eclipse.
IMS Explorer for Web 3.4.0 supports the following actions:
- Create and edit projects, driver definitions, and database connections
- Browse and navigate IMS catalog and databases
- Select and import PSBs and DBDs from local file system or a shared IMS catalog
- Add or edit fields in DBD file
- Access IMS data with SQL queries
IMS Explorer for Web is available at no additional cost to IMS customers running version 15 or later.
