New Essentials Edition pricing, makes Aspera on Cloud more affordable than ever!

We're excited to announce that we've made a significant adjustment to the pricing of Aspera On Cloud. This blog post provides a notification of a price decrease that will go into effect May 14th, 2024 for the IBM Aspera on Cloud, Essentials edition only. The entry level price point for Aspera on Cloud is dropping to $250 per terabyte (previously $760). 

We want to take a moment to explain why we've made the decision to lower our entry level pricing and reassure you that our commitment to providing exceptional value and quality remains unchanged. IBM’s intent is to make the fast file transfer capabilities of Aspera more accessible for smaller sized organizations and teams who have challenges moving large files across multiple destinations or to far away locations.

Aspera pricing is based on the volume of data transferred using the service. Our customers have always recognized that the Aspera service is very economical at high volumes. However, for organizations whose volumes may never reach the higher levels, the entry price point has been a barrier for some. With the new Essentials Edition at only $250 per terabyte, these organizations should take a fresh look at the Aspera capabilities. By lowering the price, we're removing barriers and ensuring that our innovative managed file transfer solutions are within reach for a broader audience.

The new Essentials Edition (replacing Standard Edition), delivers simple, fixed-volume projects to multiple or far away locations.

Aspera on Cloud Essentials Edition includes:

• 1 instance (Organization) of Aspera on Cloud

• 1 TB of IBM Cloud Object Storage

• 1 Workspace

• 1 file deletion policy

• First 10 TB of egress pass-through provider costs

• Unlimited tethered nodes of IBM Aspera High-Speed Transfer Server
