A key strength of the latest release of the z/OS XL C/C++ compiler is that it introduces new compiler suboptions, hardware built-in functions, and vector built-in functions to exploit IBM z15™ (z15) for improved application performance and direct access to your hardware. You can recompile your programs using the new ARCH(13) compiler option to instruct the compiler to generate code for applications that exploit instructions available on z15 without any source code changes.
