Explore IBM LinuxONE ecosystem to partner, learn and connect
We're happy to share that on November 11th 2025, Microsoft announced the availability of .NET 10. As with releases since .NET 6, this release includes support for IBM Z & LinuxONE (s390x).
The release is currently available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and OpenShift as detailed in their November 17th announcement, .NET 10 now available for RHEL and OpenShift. On RHEL you'll find the package as dotnet-sdk-10.0.
If you're running Ubuntu, Ubuntu 25.10 shipped with RC1 and can be installed via the standard Ubuntu archive (search for dotnet10) and will be updated to the released version as soon as the SRU (Stable Release Update) process has completed.
For the LTS releases:
Official support for IBM Z and LinuxONE began with the .NET 6 release in 2021. Now in our fourth year of releases, the IBM Z and LinuxONE team is continuing to work closely with the development team at Microsoft and the Linux distributions to make sure each release release is working well on the platform and that the community finds it easy to find and install.
