IBM Z Operations Unite Beta Program is now open !
Back in April (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/ddalteri_ibmz-ibmz-zaiops-activity-7188874109420781568-PJeB?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop), I shared the news about IBM investment to assist IBM Z Operators to help the challenges above, as per the IBM statement of direction.
Now I am happy to share with you that we are making great progresses in developing the new tool named IBM Z Operations Unite, and we are willing to hear your feedback and give you access to a beta version of it, so you can evaluate the power of it in your own environment.
IBM Z Operations Unite will provide clients with a unified user experience that is designed to accelerate the resolution of operational issues and optimize systems management by enhancing and supporting the decision making at critical times through smart event management and correlation, AI infusion, and expert insight advice leveraging IBM technical experience and expertise.
This announcement is in line with the well-known detect-decide-act framework for AIOps for IBM Z, that will be augmented with this single solution that is designed to:
- Provide complete visibility across infrastructure to easily isolate and diagnose operational issues, through a united user interface, that collects events and metrics from disparate data sources in compliance with the OpenTelemetry standard.
- Early anomaly detection and proactive remediation of operational issues even before these impact service level agreements, through AI infusion, designed to provide anomaly detection and event correlation.
Expected business value for clients include:
- Faster incident identification and resolution. Integration with multiple (and existing) monitoring solutions will feed an event driven architecture to normalize and build a complete picture of the relationships within the environment. Built-in event correlation will help to reduce the noise and let teams focusing on the most important events.
- Improved operational efficiency, avoiding the need to switch between multiple products and interfaces make for a richer proper problem determination experience that leverages collaboration. All the needed information will be available in a single user interface.
- Lower skills barrier to entry with the addition of expert insight and recommendation on how to solve identified problems.
If you want to learn more about this upcoming solution and/or join the Beta program, please reach out to Kekahu Aluli (kekahu.aluli@ibm.com) or me (Domenico.DAlterio@it.ibm.com) !
We’re always looking for feedback and are happy to provide you with more a more detailed preview of what’s to come.
