A software user group is a very special kind of community, held together by a passion for problem solving and seeking excellence by sharing knowledge and experience. A leading example is the Midwest User Group for IBM Business Automation, which has hosted a vibrant and inspirational gathering for two decades. During the Covid Pandemic, the group kept connected and hosted virtual get-togethers, which only increased the audience. Once again, Acuity Insurance in Sheboygan, Wisconsin will open its award-winning headquarters to welcome group members for two days of conversation on Wednesday, July 9 and Thursday July 10.

The 2025 event will build on the success of previous years, presenting product road maps for the entire Business Automation portfolio, customer stories of modernization, innovation and continued improvement, and business partner solutions that add value to IBM investments. The keynote this year, “Amplifying Business Automation with Agentic AI,” will be presented by Matt Warta, Director of Product Management, IBM Business Automation.

While there’s lots of good talk and software demos, there’s also fun and networking opportunities. Since resuming live meetings at Acuity Insurance world headquarters in Sheboygan, the group also is invited to join in the weekly company-wide picnic that employees enjoy every Wednesday afternoon. There are often hosted dinners Wednesday night in downtown Sheboygan, along the shores of Lake Michigan and there’s often air shows, golf tournaments and other local distractions to make the trip worthwhile.

Even if you can’t travel to Sheboygan this year, you’ll be able to view the presentations live via web broadcast. So mark your calendars and make plans to be part of this annual user summit, which always delivers fascinating stories and helpful tips.
