To enhance the utility of the IBM MQ Console for z/OS customers, from 9.3.5 the ability to manage storage classes has been added, mirroring the functionality available in MQ Explorer today.
When running a version of the MQ Console later than 9.3.5, a storage classes tab will appear on the sidebar of the queues page. This sidebar will only show for z/OS queue managers but will function regardless of queue manager version and whether the queue manager is local or remote.
With the introduction of the standalone console, it will now be even easier to adopt the latest changes to the web console without updating your existing queue managers. For more information on the standalone console please see What's new in IBM MQ 9.3.5 for Multiplatforms.
