We have made a significant enhancement to the NS1 Connect Alert Center, designed to give you more visibility, more control and more ways to stay ahead of potential issues.
Starting August 20, you will see new alert types in the Alert Center – including expanded usage alerts and certificate expiry notifications. On September 2, all existing usage alerts will be migrated to the new system so you can manage them in one unified place.
What is new in the Alert Center?
We have added new alert types and more delivery options so your team gets the right information in the right place.
Track your monthly usage across a broader set of metrics:
New Delivery Channels: Previously query and record usage alerts were email-only – now you can send them via Slack, email, webhook or PagerDuty. This integration ensures your team gets notified on the platforms you already use.
Custom Thresholds: Set your own thresholds to get early warnings. For example, you can set a ‘heads-up’ alert at 75% usage and a ‘critical’ alert at 95%.
Easy setup: Alerts can be configured directly in the Alert Center or from the Usage page. Anyone with access to ‘Manage Notifier List’ can view, configure and assign alerts.
2. Certificate Expiry Alerts
Security and performance depend on valid certificates. With our new alerts, you can prevent costly outages and security risks before they happen.
Redirect Certificate Expiry: NS1 Connect automatically renews URL Redirect certificates, however, should you have a unique case with multiple DNS providers, you can get an alert when it is nearing its expiration date or requires action.
SSO/SAML Certificate Expiry: Security and IT teams can now be notified when an /SAML certificate is due to expire. You can rotate them proactively and prevent interruptions or sign-on failures.
Migration for Existing Usage Alerts
have record and query usage alerts currently enabled on your account, being received via email, we will e them for you.
Migration date: September 2, 2025
No action required – you will keep getting alerts without interruption.
Coming Soon to the Alert Center
Future enhancements to the Alert Center will include:
Monitoring Alerts – Centralizing your monitoring notifications.
Zone and Activity Log Alerts – Deeper insight into zone changes and activity logs.
The new alerts will be live from August 20.
Log in to the NS1 Connect portal, visit the Alert Center and start configuring your new alerts to gain a new level of control and proactive defence for your digital infrastructure.
