Certification in Action at TechXchange 2025

By Chloe Zgheib posted yesterday

Walking into the Certification Testing Zone at TechXchange feels like stepping into a hub of focus and determination. Just a few days into the conference, the space is already buzzing with professionals from every corner of the tech world, each ready to prove their expertise and earn one of the 50+ IBM certifications available, some of them being in watsonx, Maximo, MQ, Planning Analytics, Cloud, and more. The diversity of topics means there’s something for every kind of technologist, from AI innovators to enterprise integration experts.

For many attendees, this is more than just another conference perk. It’s a career-defining opportunity. Certification testing is free with a full conference pass and available throughout the entire week, allowing participants to schedule their attempt at mastery without missing the event’s other highlights.

But that’s not all—TechXchange goes a step further by rewarding the spirit of learning. Every achievement and milestone unlocks something tangible, adding a fun, motivational twist to the week.

  • Training flight tag: Earned by contributing to the activity wall, signing up for a course or credential, or completing an AI lab.

  • Certification flight tag & pin: Awarded to those who successfully pass a certification exam.

  • Gold star stamp for VIP Credentials Club access: Given to attendees who earn the Conference Learning Badge, achieve a certification, or complete a new credential.

These collectible rewards add an element of gamification to the learning experience. Walking around the venue, you’ll see badges and tags proudly displayed, each one a small symbol of growth and accomplishment.

I spoke to Sean Lange, a student attendee at TechXchange, about his experience getting a credential at the conference: “Being at TechXchange and having the opportunity to get a credential from a reputable tech company like IBM is wonderful for my career, future, and technology journey.”

The result is an atmosphere that’s not just about testing knowledge but celebrating it. The Certification Testing Zone has become a destination for professionals eager to validate their mastery, advance their career, and take home both credentials and recognition.
