Meet Dan Feraru from INFODAVA, an IBM Champion since 2024, and whose journey exemplifies the spirit of advocacy, technical mastery, and community leadership that define the IBM Champions program.
He has an extensive record of accomplishments. He has contributed his expertise as a member of both the IBM EMEA BP advisory board (2010-2013) and the IBM ww Security Advisory Board (2014-2020). He also spoke about Vodafone, which started as a "test case" for introducing IBM technology in Vodafone Romania. Since then, IBM Business Integration solutions have been validated as strategic technology and services supply for Vodafone global. Romtelecom, Romania's legacy telecommunications monopoly, is yet another success story where he has been able to integrate IBM technology for business solutions. Through the IBM Consulting for Business Transformation and Program Management Office, Romtelecom was able to modernize into a competitive enterprise, positioning IBM as a trusted management advisory partner for long-term cooperation. This year, he has earned a CISSP certification from ISC2, with great support from IBM Security specialized courses available on IBM Partner Plus and Coursera. Regarding continued learning, he said this: “Technical training is a permanent preoccupation, in order to be aligned with the latest technologies and their practical use cases.”
Dan is passionate about promoting IBM products across all technologies and services. His favorite kind of advocacy? Online and printed IT&C media. He enjoys articles and case studies that provide solution recommendations grounded in IBM technologies. His top favorite technologies from IBM are watsonx.ai, IBM Security (Verify, Qradar, Threat Intelligence), Automation (CloudPak for Automation, CloudPak for Integration, DataPower), Business Analytics - Project Ripasso, and IBM Storage.
