An unexpected software update on the server that hosts the z/TPF APARs last weekend affected the APAR download tools, preventing the automated download of APAR packages.  The error message "Download failed: RC=8" was shown.  An update has been made to both the aparDownload and aparPkgcheck scripts in the z/TPF APAR download tools package to work with the new software.  Minor updates to commentary within these and other scripts in the package were also made to clarify the syntax expected for "close group" values.  The new post date for the z/TPF APAR download date is Dec 6.
