I'm hoping to see some familiar faces (and meet some new users!) from our community at the upcoming IBM TechXchange Conference at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, which takes place from 21-24 October.
With the latest version 13 of IBM App Connect Enterprise product recently announced, and due for release on 27th September, this conference will be a great opportunity to explore all the latest and greatest capabilities we have to offer.
For anyone wanting to track me down, I'll be at the following sessions all focussed on IBM App Connect Enterprise.
- Instructor-led Lab: New to ACE? Everything a Developer Needs to Know About IBM App Connect Enterprise! [1669]
So you are a developer, but you've never experienced ACE before? This hands on session is designed to give you a good hands on knowledge of the IBM App Connect Entperise Toolkit environment to kick start your IBM Integration journey. You will experience the value of the ACE Web Admin UI and Toolkit Debugger whilst implementing an OpenApi v3 REST API in ACE. You will also experience the Message Flow Exerciser tool whilst extending the REST API in the ACE Toolkit. The REST API provided will show how easy it is to configure ACE to communicate with messaging systems such as MQ and Kafka. At the end of this lab, you will have experienced, integration servers, Credential Vaults, Open API Editor tools as well as MQ and Kafka nodes. - Technology Breakout: Empower Your Application Integration With the Latest Innovations in IBM App Connect Enterprise [3096]
This session will showcase all the very latest features included in the recent release of IBM App Connect Enterprise, including our development tools, and features for system administration and monitoring. We will explore message flows created in both the ACE Designer (Web browser based) and the ACE Toolkit (Eclipse based IDE) authoring environments. We will also demonstrate how to do connector discovery when interacting with third party applications and services, and show how to securely store credentials in the product's vault. This session will provide best practices discussions including the latest product capabilities, how to exploit the unit testing framework for defining a baseline for regression testing, how to optimize deployments for best performance and all kinds of tips and tricks to ease your development and administration ACE product journey! We will also cover changes you can make incrementally to future-proof your ACE deployments and position yourself for potential future moves to containers or the public cloud. - Instructor-led Lab: App Connect Enterprise - Managing Integration with DevOps, Pipelines, and More [1696]
Use an OpenShift Pipeline to package an App Connect Enterprise message flow and deploy it to App Connect Enterprise software, App Connect Enterprise Certified Containers in OpenShift and also to ACEaaS on AWS using its new public administration API. The deployed message flows use a fictitious scenario surrounding a coffee ordering website and enable the demonstration of callable flows which can be used to distribute workload between local and remote servers in a hybrid cloud architecture.
