The Fix Central website provides fixes and updates for system's software, hardware, and operating system. You can search, select, order and download fixes to your system with a choice of delivery options. To help you locate and obtain fixes in an efficient way, Fix Central is designed to provide multiple search and ordering options. •     Search by APAR or SPR identifier (search by the unique string)
•     Search by Fix ID (a quick search if you have the ID)

Today, I would like to specifically introduce how to download COBOL for AIX PTFs from Fix Centeral. Actually you can download any PTF for any IBM software product in the same way.

1. Go to the Fix Central website, and select Select Product.
2. Under Product group, select Rational, and then fill out the three remaining fields with the compiler you are using, the level currently installed on your system, and the platform.

3. Click Continue. You are directed to the Identify fixes page.
4. Browse for fixes, or search for fixes by APAR or SPR/Individual fix IDs/Text. 
5. Click Continue. You are directed to the Select fixes page.
6. Select the fix packs you want to download from the result list.

7. Click Continue. You are directed to the Download files using Download Director page.
8. Click Download now. Note: Click More Information to see the ibm.com download page for the fix that contains a list of APARs fix, and the filesets provided. You can also download the PTF form this web page.
