The IEA 2025 emission factors are now available in IBM Envizi ESG Suite for emissions reporting that is attributed from electricity data.

In general, IEA 2025 factors apply to electricity consumption data that has a starting period only from January 2026 and later, if you use published date factor selection logic.

Most indirect factors include both Total Upstream and Lifecycle T&D components for full lifecycle emissions reporting. If the components are not available, the non-lifecycle T&D component is used. Review the factor Notes field for information about the indirect factor coverage for each region.

Starting from 2025, IEA factors also cover data types for electric vehicle charging.
