Introducing ACME Coffee Roasters, our fictional best-selling coffee delivery company!
To learn more about how to take advantage of the awesome application integration capabilities available in IBM App Connect Enterprise SaaS, we're going to take a look at a fictional coffee company called ACME Coffee Roasters and support them through their expansion process.
Before we dive in, we just want to quickly set the stage.
ACME Coffee Roasters had a booming Black Friday & Cyber Monday sale that doubled their usual sales orders. The business partner, Gifts Inc., whom they'd previously contracted with to coordinate deliveries is overwhelmed with the number of orders and let's the ACME team know they can only handle deliveries to NY. Annelise, our Sales & Supply Technologist, goes out and sources a new partner Just in Time Gifts to handle deliveries to California. But now she must add them into the current integration flows, to ensure that orders flow seamlessly to them.
But there's a slight hiccup, Just in Time Gifts uses Salesforce, a new connector, and Martin, the IT Integration Lead, is too busy to make the update himself.
