Overview of enhancements and improvements
jls – New HOLD status
A new status designation allows users to observe held jobs with a "HOLD" status in their job listings until they are released or canceled.
dzip – No-terse, SYS1 dump, ADRDSSU keyword support & improved compression behavior
New options have been added to dzip. The new additions allow a variety of advanced use cases. A new flag allows users to skip tersing an archive. The additional options also allow users to perform operations on SYS1 dumps. Moreover, users can now specify ADRDSSU keywords as needed via key, value pairs. Users now also enjoy improved compression behavior on supported systems (Exploits HW compression options, if available).
dunzip – Improved temporary data set behavior
Allows users to enjoy improved behavior involving temporary data sets used during operations. Now less space is consumed overall during decompression operations.
gdgs.delete() - Inactive GDGs can now be deleted
Allows users to drive a new parameter to delete inactive generations that are still cataloged and named after the GDG base.
Additional improvements
As always, the provided Python library has been enhanced to allow users to drive the same new functionality in this release via Python. The release also contains many more bug fixes and smaller enhancements.
