Overview

To understand IBM’s Education Offerings, some background makes sense.

We moved to our present model in 2013. Since then, IBM increased the reach of its skills to more than 150 different countries. The quality is constantly high and we’re monitoring it on a detailed level.

Already end of last year we started to roll-out additional ways to reach our clients better. This year we’ve completed our way to get skills to you with two additional offerings: Training Credits and Micro Learning.

Let’s have a look at all new education offerings that are available:

Digital Learning Subscription

IBM’s Digital Learning Subscription helps students access digital learning course material for 12 months for an introductory price of $2,000 USD. It increases flexibility, so you can explore different training activities & courses. You can complete education throughout the year or learn during a project deployment. Or you can refresh your knowledge and see new material when it becomes available for one attractive price.

The world is constantly changing.  Learning new skills and being a lifelong learner is increasingly important. Sometimes, squeezing in training is challenging.  We don’t always know when we will have 1/2 day free or a pause in a project. Being able to use this time to a maximum benefit is important. Perhaps you don’t need a full course but you only want to refresh one module or have a piece of micro learning when you are having a coffee between meetings. This is becoming an increasingly popular method of taking courses (the DLS offering is based initially on Cloud.)

Training Credits

What are Training Credits: The idea is to mirror a concept that is well established in today’s market: Did you ever buy a gift card  with a fixed value for something at your local grocery store? This will be the same concept. You can buy Training Credits at IBM, and then use them at one of our five Global Training Providers. The advantage for our clients is straight forward. Bundle Training Credits into any deal with IBM. You do not need a new purchase order with a Global Training Provider. If you already have one with IBM, you can buy Training Credits. Spend the money today and use the training over the next 12 months.

You can learn more in this video about Training Credits.

Micro Learning

You want a hands-on experience now. Perhaps you are looking for specific skills for a current project. Maybe you just attended a conference and with a little more time, you would have participated in one more hands-on lab. Or you are planning ahead for your next assignment and want to invest an hour to build your skills today. IBM introduced this quarter the newest education offering which is nothing else than quick labs for cloud professionals, developers and managers.

Focused. Quick. Affordable.

Located on the digital learning platform, each lab provides a guide and a lab environment ready to go.
