Support to release DFDL defined structures allows application programmers to easily release storage for DFDL defined structures that contain pointers with a single function call. Previously, application programmers had to maintain code to release DFDL defined structures after calling DFDL APIs, leading to less maintainable code. Additionally, APAR PJ48141 resolves potential memory leaks in REST structure-to-structure mapping internal structures.
To release storage for DFDL defined structures that contain pointers, call the tpf_dfdl_free API with the DFDLHandle associated with that structure.
