  • 1.  What are the accesses needed to add documents to a class?

Hi, I'm using FileNet 5.5.8 and am designing the access control for the system. My documents are configured like that:

    Document

    Document Type 1

    Document Type 1 (Country A)

    Document Type 1 (Country B)

    ...

    Document Type 2

    Document Type 2 (Country A)

    Document Type 2 (Country B)

    ...

    My control requirements are:

    • Users can only see item classes for documents they have access to.
    • There are three types of user per country: view, edit and edit with delete.

I was able to configure the view access correctly (users only see document classes for their given country. Although, I am having a hard time granting add/edit/delete privileges. For each country-specific item class, I've granted access to create instances at the "Default Instance Security" and "Security" tabs. However, users part of the given groups still cannot add documents (the button is greyed-out in ICN). Also, users with edit permission can edit views on ICN "Properties" screen, but cannot save the changes due to lack of privileges.

What are the accesses needed for users to be able to add documents to a class?
